His deal to sell the house was close to done, only a few hours behind, when his friend called him. Ganesh, Mr Bava’s close friend, told him about the latest lottery results that included his numbers.
His total prize after Indian taxes summed up to 6.3 million rupees, enough to pay for the debt amounting to 5 million, and not to sell the house. That happened after a year of playing the government lottery in Kerala with no success.
The crazy thing about Bava’s story is that he bought his house back, or at least kind of, because he was only 4 hours away from selling it with certainty.
2. Balasubramanian Chithambaram: Jewelry, But the Other Way Around
Balasubramanian Chithambaram did not have a record of lucky charms, but a gold chain certainly did the trick for his lottery win. Yes, it is not something he bought after winning the lottery, but it is still a crazy purchase that we could not keep out of this list.

It is crazy because he had zero intention to join a draw. Mr Chithambaram simply bought a Rs 3.7 lakh gold chain for his wife and ended up in a lucky draw for spending over Rs 15,000.
Although he is originally Indian, that lucky strike occurred in Singapore and got him approximately 8.5 crore rupees.
3. Rathnakaran Pillai: Land With a Hidden Treasure
Imagine winning a Christmas bumper lottery and also finding almost 2,600 coins dating back to the Kingdom of Travancore.
Those two lucky events are connected because Rathnakaran Pillai was the lucky winner of Rs 6 crore in 2018 and decided to purchase some land to farm with that money.

When preparing the land, he struck an earthen pot that had been hidden for several years. Inside it, there were 2,595 ancient coins dated from the two kingdoms that ruled between 1885 and 1924 and from 1924 to 1949.
Therefore, a purchase of farming land, which is common and nothing extraordinary, became the craziest possible finding. Had he bought and not used the land, the coins could have remained hidden for another century.
As there is historical value in coins, he could not have kept them and did the right thing by calling the police. He still gets a fitting amount for the finding, which was not revealed.
4. Pradeep Kumar: a Volvo - And That Is It!
